A simple framework for planning safer, more efficient home-improvement projects.
Trazi is designed for homeowners who want to understand a project before buying materials or taking something apart. Our guides are research-based and written around decisions, preparation and safe limits rather than dramatic “hacks”.
Use the four-question method
- Define the problem. Describe what is wrong or what you want to change without jumping immediately to a product.
- Identify the conditions. Note moisture, surface type, dimensions, existing finishes, access and anything hidden behind the work.
- Choose the method. Compare options using the exact product instructions and the conditions in your home.
- Know the stopping point. Electrical service, gas, major structural change, hazardous materials and significant hidden water damage are examples of work that can require qualified professionals.
Plan before you purchase
Measure twice, check compatibility and include realistic waste. Keep the receipt and product instructions until the job is complete. When a material has acclimation, temperature or humidity requirements, schedule those before installation day rather than treating them as optional.
Use our calculators as estimates
The paint, flooring and tile calculators are planning tools. They do not override manufacturer coverage figures, carton quantities or an installer’s layout recommendation.
