Formula
Purchase area = length × width × (1 + waste ÷ 100). If carton coverage is entered, cartons = purchase area ÷ carton coverage, rounded up.
For L-shaped rooms, calculate rectangles separately and add them before waste. Patterned layouts may need a larger allowance.
